Why People Don’t Make Disciples [video]
Challenging thoughts from David Platt. I like that he said, “If we’re not careful, we will take the Gospel, the lifeblood out of Christianity, and put Kool-aid in its place so it will taste better to the crowds.” We certainly have a mission, and it is not to beg and plead someone into the Kingdom of God. I also agree with the statement, “Jesus is not a poor puny Savior looking for anyone’s acceptance. He is a sovereign Lord and King who is worthy of everyone’s praise.” Our job is to share the Good News through our words and actions so that others will be compelled to follow him.
